WHO is under the helmet? I’m glad you asked, thank you! I’ve been riding motorcycles since 1975 starting with a Suzuki RM 125cc as a kid, and I’m now on my 6th Harley-Davidson motorcycle, (my 4th Road King). I’m a 9 year veteran of the U.S. Navy Submarine Service, a Gold Star father, and a proud American! The feeling I get when I’m on the road on two wheels is something only another rider can understand. The freedom and closeness with the elements cannot compare to that of any other mode of transportation. I don’t listen to music when I ride, or use a helmet with a headset….I listen to the wind, so I can hear the rumble of my pipes, the power of the motor, and all of my stress flowing away in my wake. I ride in honor of all vets who cannot ride, or perhaps who paid the ultimate price in service to their country and cannot even enjoy the precious freedoms we all have on a daily basis in these United States. I have ridden thousands of miles across this great nation of ours, to Sturgis and back 3 times, Laughlin River Run 15 times, and numerous bike shows and events across the West. Daytona Bike Week is next on my list! The decals on my bike reflect the pride I have in my service to my country, the remembrance of all those who served before me and those serving now. And of course, the decal on my windshield is in honor of my son, PFC David N. Crombie, US Army, KIA Iraq 06-07-06. Ride safe my friends and perhaps one day we’ll share a rest stop somewhere along a nice stretch of highway in the Nevada desert!
